- This month Mrs. Morgan and I will visit our friends in Kindergarten through Fifth grade. Our topic of discussion is Respect.

October
This is Bully Prevention Month. Kindergarten through First grade will discuss tips on what makes a good friend.
Second Grade will read the story Bully Beans by Julie Cook and will define bullying and ways to address unhealthy issues and choices.
Third, Fourth and Fifth will take a Pre-Survey addressing concerns at the school level. In addition, each group will read scenarios and define whether it's a bullying incident or not. All classes will have discussions on making healthy choices and how to help when unwanted situations arise.

This month Mrs. Morgan and I will visit Kindergarten through Fifth grade classroom. The topic of discussion is gratitude. What are you thankful for and how to show gratitude.
December
This month I will visit Kindergarten through Second grade classroom. The topic of discussion is honesty.

Mrs. Morgan is facilitating small group counseling session for students in third, fourth and fifth grade.

This month the students learned about Random Acts of Kindness.
March
K-2 Students will have media this month. However, Mrs. Byrd will continue with small groups. Third and fourth grade students will be discussing "What makes a good friend?" Third grade students will read the book Enemy Pie and fourth grade students will read Spaghetti and Meatballs. Both books focus on the importance of being a good friend. Fifth grade students will be focusing on middle school transition. Students will be visiting the Media Center computer lab and will take a survey geared at middle school transition. Parents, be on the lookout for middle school registration.
