Mission Statement
The School Counseling program will implement a comprehensive program that will address the academic, personal/social and career needs of each child. The School Counselors will promote a collaborative, dynamic, child centered, nurturing, and leaning/counseling environment. We will work collaboratively with families, school staff, and community stake holders to ensure we are developing lifelong learners with the skills necessary for college and career readiness.
Statement of Philosophy
The School Counseling program will provide a supportive environment where parents, staff and community stake holders collaborate to create an innovative and engaging learning environment for students. Students will be empowered to develop and grow academically, personally/socially and emotionally. Our program will be data driven and based on the needs of the students we serve at Walnut Creek.
We believe:
· All students are capable of learning.
· All students have dignity and worth.
· School staff, community stake holders, and families are key components in student success.
· All students are capable of becoming productive, contributing members of society.
